Our Story
If something doesn't change, the traditional classroom will remain largely unchanged for the next 100 years. The primary issue is that classrooms are designed to separate and isolate students, promoting individual work over group collaboration. Technology is being introduced into the classroom and has the potential to upend the old ways of learning, but we've only gone from the table to the tablet! In theory, we are more connected than ever before, but we are facing a pandemic of isolation, anxiety disorders, depression, and behavioral problems. The social challenges of today's world have pulled us into a very lonely, isolated existence and COVID has only made matters worse.
In 2018, Tzipi Rothstain, one of our founders, an educational consultant in the Israeli education system, with a specialization in the field of life skills was greatly disturbed by the alienation that technology brought with it. Tzipi's went to her husband Dov, who’s an engineer who has been involved in many major defense projects in the State of Israel (and also a founder), and said: "Let's do something that uses technology to connect the students!". Dov accepted the challenge and decided to build an interactive educational product - and the “Brain Station” was born.
